Please make note of the following repeat policy which applies to all students in the School.
Reference Academic Regulation #34
REPEAT COURSES, page 335 catalog 04-05
Reference Academic Regulation #69
WITHDRAWAL from a COURSE, p337 catalog 04-05
It is the intention of SOACM to propose the following policy regarding Repeat Courses, which expands on the requirements of the University Academic Regulations, referred to above.
This policy applies to the degree program BS in Architectural Studies, BS in Construction Management, and Master of Architecture. In order to maintain certification status and remain in the program in second year, third year, fourth year, and graduage program, the number of times a student can repeat a required course will be limited. A student can only repeat a required course in which they have received a grade of C- or below ONCE
(i.e. take the class a total of two times). In the graduate design studio, students must receive a minimum grade of “B” in order to pass the course. See Graduate Handbook for complete requirements.
This policy will extend to include withdrawals from courses. Any withdrawal from a required course after the end of the 9th week of class will be classified as one course attempt and reduce the number of repeat attempts by one. The exception to this situation will be where such withdrawal converts to a complete enrollment cancellation.
Note: For the purpose of this policy a required course refers to any course that is required to fulfill graduation requirements within the School and in other departments.
