Bachelor of Science in
Construction Management
Requirements and Core Courses
The curriculum is organized into two parts. Pre-construction management
occurs during the first year and is followed by a professional construction
management curriculum in the last three years. The program also integrates an active internship program, as part of the curriculum..
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
Admission to the construction management program will be considered for
those who have qualified for admission to WSU and fulfill the additional
program requirements. Students may take their first year at WSU or at
other institutions that offer equivalent course work. Having fulfilled
the requirements of the first year, all students must then apply for admission
into the construction management program. Due to limitations of space
and facilities, certification as a major in construction management can
only be granted to a limited number of the most qualified students.
Selection is based upon satisfaction
of minimum requirements and overall grade point average in the following
courses (See university catalog for specific course requirements for each
year):

To be considered for the certified program, a student must have completed at least 31 semester hours of the Construction Management Program requirements, including the following courses or their equivalents from another institution:
CstM 102, Communication Proficiency Requirement[C]; Econ 101 and 102; Engl 101; Geol 101; GenEd 110 and 111; Math 171; and a General Education Requirement. A minimum of a C or better is required in all these courses. Admission to the certified program is based on GPA.
As of August 25, 2008, the CM program will not accept repeated course grades in classes where the student received a C grade or greater. Please see “Repetition of Courses: and “Academic Regulation 34” in the general catalog.
