My primary research interests are in architectural and civil structural failures--technical and legal implications, and in design to mitigate the effects of natural hazards. I am also interested in topics related to professional ethics. All my publications and professional activities relate to these interests. (The only editor to be honored by this award twice, having received it previously in 1991.) 1997 National Forensic Engineering Award, American Society of Civil Engineers, plaque and trophy presented at the First Forensic Engineering Congress, Minneapolis, MN, October 7, 1997.
